Another Great Pescatores Experience!

My name is Sarah, we dined at your delicious restaurant a couple of weeks ago while on a visit to Victoria. I wanted to personally write to you and say that the food was excellent, and the service that we received was OUTSTANDING!  Our server's name was Genvieve and I have to tell you,  her knowledge of the menu was thorough, she was patient and went above and beyond ( we asked her many questions do to dietary needs, and we weren't her only table) as well as being very, very warm.  Genvieve's table service left myself and the people I was dining with a very satisfied and "well taken care of"  feeling. I think its great that you have people like her on your team and I just wanted to let you know the impact that good service leaves on a customer, as I'm sure you are well aware of.  Keep up the great business,

Sarah McGlynn

This photo was taken by one of our many guests that has tried the Pescatores King Halibut...and RAVED about it. This is an entree that melts in your mouth. No wonder it is a Top Selling Entree of All Time! Fresh halibut (really fresh...see photo above), topped with hand picked king crab meat and a gorgeous citrus-hollandaise sauce. Served atop our creamy mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

Join us today and ask for this dish by name. You will NOT be disappointed!

Finish it up with Pescatores take of Bananas Foster (again photo taken by a satisfied guest).
A huge, fluffy crepe made fresh to order, stuffed with two scoops of Vanilla Bean Gelato, topped with our Caramelized Banana Rum Sauce, powdered sugar, a little whip cream and a strawberry.

Disclaimer: If you try either of these items you will probably want to return the following night.

What People Are Saying...

"An incredible evening"
By knh959 of Victoria (5 Reviews)

My wife, myself and friends decided to try Pescatores for the first time this past Saturday night to celebrate the lady's birthdays. All in all, a wonderful evening. The food was excellent and the service better. I would highly recommend Pescatores to anyone looking for a top notch seafood restaurant. Not a negative thing to say about our evening and I can't wait to return.

We showed up at 8:15 on a Monday night and couldn't get a table until 9. Fortunately, the Oyster Bar is next door and we could wait there.  We had a dozen  Kusshi oysters on the half shell with a nice local Pinot gris.  Dinner was great.  The arrabiata is excellent with just the right amount of pepper.  The smoked salmon fettucine was great and this place actually knows how to grill a salmon (not overdone!).

A genuinely excellent restaurant!

We wished we would have went back! This was one of our favorites! The crab stuffed trout and the King Halibut were excellent! The Trout was stuffed with Brie and King crab meat, sauteed garlic mushrooms with Gruyere gratin potatoes and was incredible! Right from the islands! Their Fresh menu is to die for! Served with wonderful BC wines. Their wine selection was very very good! We had an excellent waiter named Joseph! This is our top restaurant that we visited in Victoria during our stay and we talked about it for the next 10 days. It is a very bad day if you are disappointed.

Health Benefits of Seafood!

Seeing as both Pescatores and the Oyster Bar create delicious dishes with the freshest local seafood we thought it would be great to compile a handy list of just a few of the health benefits you’d be treating your body to!

Seafood contains essential oils that are an important part of your diet. Oils provide the source of energy we need and they are also great flavour enhancers. More importantly, they are a source of significant fatty acids.

Most seafood is low in fat, generally less than 5%, and most of that comes from beneficial Omega-3 fatty acids. These are polyunsaturated fatty acids known to protect the body against heart diseases. These “good fats” also aids in lowering cholesterol, decreasing blood clotting factors, increasing beneficial relaxation in larger arteries and blood vessels, and decreasing inflammatory process in blood vessels.  “Good fats” can also help you stay on happy side of life mentally, as well as helping you cope with everyday stress and anxiety.

A single 150 gram serving of fish or other seafood provides from 50%-60% of daily protein needs of an adult.  Especially good to know if you don’t eat meat, and want to vary your protein intake from just eggs, nuts, legumes and the like.

Aside from being low in fat, different varieties of shellfish (including oysters) are rich in vitamins and minerals that help aid in the formation and use of red blood cells and muscles.  This guarantees healthy skin and promotes great eyesight, and how great is that!?

Some seafood have high levels of antioxidant E, aside from vitamins E, C, D, and A. These antioxidants boost the immune system.
There have been clinical trials that have shown that one serving of fish two to three times a week can actually lessen arthritis symptoms by fighting inflammation, decreasing fatigue and reducing those morning aches.

Fatty fishes are excellent sources of vitamin D. They said that a serving of fatty fish a day can provide 90% of today’s recommended dietary requirement for vitamin D.
And it seems that scientists are continuing to find more reasons for us to eat fish for its benefits, fantastic!  The list goes on…
